AM run 4 miles
28.20
14.30 out
13.50 back
done at about 3 after work (about that whole wake up early thing... waking up early sucks)
I was pretty well recovered by this time and only a little exhausted by work
PM run 5 miles
35.51
I forgot to take splits, but i did the second half a bit faster.
I also ended up sprinting for about 200 metres to beat a train at about 13 minutes in. Felt pretty good my legs have been consistantly tired from work combined with running but overall pretty flexable too.

AM run after 6 hours of work
33 minutes
it was very hot as it took place at about 13.00 and very unpleasant.
PM run at about 9:00
38.23
out 18.40
back 19.43
Felt really relaxing to be running in the cool night air after hanging around inside all day. I could feel myself pushing the speed a little more than I wanted to going out so I chilled it out on the way back. I also think that I'm begining to adjust to the new schedule, both for work and for running. I've been meaning to do my morning runs before work, but waking up that early doesn't really appeal to me... Hopefully tommorow I'll make the switch because I dont have to be there until 8

10 mile run (this was based on memory, so i really hope we were supposed to do a ten mile run...)
1 hour 17 minutes... the run may have been up to .6 mile short though because its based on measurments my dad made and he doesn't necessarily measure things down to the foot.
When I started out, I really didn't want to be running but by about 5 miles I started to feel pretty good... not really a run fast kind of good, but more of a "its really nice out and this is much better for me than sitting around watching the telly. I started out really tired from axing out stumps of bushes for about 4 hours prior... which earned me 150 dollars by the by.
Two interesting thoughts occured to me on the run. Firstly, if a car were to hit a deer and that deer were to riccochet into someone running breaking their leg, would the driver be held responsible?
And secondly, and this one takes a bit of a story, over a week ago I was running this same strech of road and I see, in the midst of a hard acceleration up a hill, a group of shady looking juveniles being characteristically shady and the like, one of whom I recognize as a kid from youth group at church. The following weekend, my mother goes to church to some prayer service for kids who got killed playing ding-dong-ditch in what I'm told resembled the very beginning and the very end of an epic car chase. Today I see, right next to the place that these kids were glavanting several nights prior, an assortment of crosses next to the road. After thinking about this for a moment I realize that that kid I knew from youth group really was as stupid I had assumed even though he did really well in school. I mean who honestly plays that game once they have a car... although I guess now that I think about it Rob would probably do it.

4 mile AM run (actually in the AM this time!)
30.06 with even splits
Wasn't bad at all, only problem was that I had eaten a little food about 3o minutes before and hadn't had time to digest. Otherwise, no problems.
PM run
5miles 40 minutes.
took place at midnight.
I decided during the run that I've been spending far to much time and energy trying to go to sleep on time and wake up early. And thus I have reached the conclusion that the best way to reduce stress would be to adopt the college position of it doesn't matter how tired I am. Not that that really applies to running, but in terms of work it possible the best position ever, because I will get work done less quickly and therefore get paid more for the entire day. But also, and more importantly, everyone else will have to pick up my slack and thus I will actually do less work.

Am run... this time at 7 PM... it was really hot... and I was lazy... and I had work... yeah
30.35
I forgot to take half splits, but they were pretty much even, maybe a couple seconds slower coming back. I took this one pretty easy because I had been pushing a nower up and dowb a hill for about an hour and a halfd earlier today which was hardly benficial for the recovery of leg muscles.

AM run that ended up taking place in the PM (3:00 to be exact)
Four miles on the usual 4 mile route
26:25
13:31 out
12:53 back
I think I was burning off a bit of the Ihateworking that had been building up in my muscles since 7:00 this morning.
I felt really good the whole way, I hardly noticed how fast I was going until I got to the half way point.
PM run taking place late in the PM (9:00 to be vague)
5 miles (2.5 out, 2.5 back)
38.33 total
13 Until tragedy struck, and my foot started bleeding from a seam in my shoe wearing through my skin... the bloodstain in my shoe will be forever testament to my folly of not wearing socks.
3.13 barefoot until turn around
22.20 back barefoot
Lesson learned: socks are friends not... things that should not be worn

AM: 4 miles as per Mikey's method for mondays... It was actually kind of uncomfortable, although I was dehydrated and undernourished at the time.
Went to Ace Swim and Leisure (they sell pools in case anyone wants a pool... just let me know, I'll pick one up on my run tommorow) and back. It was a pretty flat route on road the whole way.

Got a ride to Oatka park 15 minute warm up to the first hill. up once at a normal pace and three times fast, one normal, twice fast. the normal pace took about 38 to 42 seconds and the fast paces was between 23 and 25. the break was the time i took running down the hill. About seven minutes easy to the second even steeper more exciting hill. first time up fast took 42 seconds. But my shirt was thick and the sun was hot, so I took it off... my shoes were heavy and my destination was far away, so I took them off... and the second time fast without shoes took 36 seconds. 15 minute warm down... The first hill didnt bother me that much, but on the second one all of the earlier stufff caught up to me and really started hurting especially because that hill is brvtal on its own... brutal with a v to make it even more Xtreme
Next week hill workout will be six times up the second hill with push ups and crunches in between.
